To produce a short film that outlines the aims of the Upstream project, key findings, and the potential for real change that the project has created. The target audiences were academics, industry interested parties and potential investors in the project’s next phase.

Approach

The UPSTREAM project in association with UWE is a groundbreaking research project designed to identify how health can be prioritised in the planning of towns and cities. The subject is incredibly complex and the film ran the risk of being confusing. To ensure clarity, we focussed on the key headlines regarding the ground breaking method that was used, the most interesting findings as defined by industry leaders and the potential for change, which created a narrative that both appealed to academics and those involved in the industry.
